The Weight of Women: Beyond Our Body
So much of the weight women carry isn’t seen. Our bodies reflect not just what we consume physically but also what we carry emotionally. The unspoken expectation that we can always take on more.
Despite the concept of mental load being acknowledged, somehow our value is tied to how much we do for others and is almost a badge of honour. Meantime, rest is seen as idle and prioritising our own needs labelled ‘selfish’.
In my latest video, I ask whether it’s time to put down this burden and rethink how this defines our worth.
