Loving kindness
Loving kindness meditation usually focuses on sending good wishes to other people, who may be known or not to you. This special practice invites you to bring to mind people who are deep in your heart, to help cultivate feelings of support and being loved by others who may no longer be in your daily life.
I suggest you practice this exercise laying down on your bed or a couch. May sure you are warm enough, cover yourself with a blanket, support your head and neck with a pillow or cushion and maybe cover your eyes.
This is a deep practice and may give rise to strong emotions so please be gentle with yourself, take your time and give yourself the space to enjoy feeling cherished.
