An avocado a day…

A recent study suggests that eating a daily avocado could help with sticking to your diet! I love avocado (as evident in so many of my lunch recipes) so this isn’t a problem for me. We ate them in my childhood family although they certainly weren’t served all year round.

Before the popularity of the smashed avocado it was served as a half with something fancy like prawns adorning the centre, perhaps as a starter.

We loved eating them with this sauce used to be made by my dad using tinned tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, chopped onion and garlic with perhaps a dash of Worcestershire sauce to taste.
