This week, I took a big step forward in sharing the heart of my book with you. I spent a day filming videos to dive deeper into the themes that mean the most to me—and I can't wait to share them with you. But before the final cut is ready, here’s a sneak peek of what went on behind the scenes.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes glimpse of the shoot—these moments capture the essence of what The Elephant in the Room is all about. From the moments of reflection to the emotional highs, it was a day that left me feeling both proud and excited for what’s to come.

Being in front of the camera isn’t easy when you are self-conscious about your size. I decided not to script what I said so I was speaking from the heart, about the journey of writing this book and what I’ve learned along the way. Here is a little snippet when I was speaking about how women have been faced with the social pressure to slim since the 1950s in magazines.

These videos are a chance to explore the deeper messages of the book—everything from breaking free of diet culture to reclaiming our self-worth. I’m thrilled to bring these themes to life in a more personal way and share them with you soon.
